Overview
Tunnelcraft are seeking an experienced CPCS/NPORS Slinger Signaller to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely directing crane movements and ensuring the smooth coordination of lifting operations on-site. This role requires a strong understanding of construction sites, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate vehicles as needed. The ideal applicant will have prior experience in construction environments and hold relevant certifications for Slinger Signaller duties.
Responsibilities
- Direct crane operators during lifting operations to ensure safety and precision
- Communicate clearly with team members using standard hand signals and radio communication
- Conduct safety checks on lifting equipment before use
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of lifting gear and rigging
- Maintain accurate documentation of lifting activities and inspections
- Drive company vehicles to transport equipment or personnel around site as required
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations throughout all activities
Skills
- Proven experience in construction environments, specifically as a Slinger Signaller
- Strong communication skills, able to relay instructions clearly under pressure
- Fluency in English, with good verbal and written communication abilities
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating site vehicles
- Knowledge of crane signals, rigging techniques, and safety procedures
- Ability to work effectively within a team and follow instructions precisely
- Organised with good attention to detail to ensure safety standards are maintained at all times
Pay: £245.00 per day
