.Job Purpose: Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock. Adhering to Safety, Quality and cost at all times.
1.Racking/FLT checks within the store environment.
2. Stores:- Creation of purchase orders and recording goods inwards / outwards using Company bespoke software.
3. Ensure checks to verify stock levels for re-ordering are accurate and appropriate.
4. To take delivery of goods delivered into stores, with the use of forklifts where required.
5. Ensure that goods are checked off in an accurate and timely manner and check for damages and quantity.
6. Update computer system to enable accurate stock levels.
7. Put materials away in stores after deliveries in a FIFO order.
8. To get materials out ready for collection by suppliers and for the issuing to jobs, using the IT equipment provided.
9. Assist with stock checks when required.
10. Keep stores clean and tidy.
11. To make deliveries to and collections from various locations within the stores geographical area and further afield where necessary to external customers and suppliers.
12. To ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials onto vehicles and assisting colleagues in this task where necessary.
13. All materials must be secure on the vehicles to enable safe transportation and to avoid any loss or damage.
14. Yard: - Keep Property Services Depot clean and tidy to include perimeter checks as necessary.
15. Complete all necessary delivery notes accurately.
16. To man the stores as required for.
17. Any other reasonable duties requested by your manager.
Requirements
Proven experience in warehouse management or similar environment.
Valid forklift licence is essential.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as Epicor is desirable.
Rail knowledge or experience in rail is advantageous.

- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock control and documentation.
- Good understanding of materials handling, picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Prior experience with warehouse equipment including forklifts is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided where necessary.
