An exciting opportunity has arisen for CLASS 1 & 2 HGV drivers to join our team as a driver labourer.
Working from our Yard in East Tilbury, Essex you will play a vital role in delivering scaffolding equipment to various site within Essex and London.
As one of our drivers you will be the face of our company, responsible for the safe operation of our vehicles and delivering great customer service. You will also assist with the loading / unloading of materials from the vehicle on site. A valid CSCS card will be required, however this can be obtained upon commencing this role.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a variety of trucks
- Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely and efficient deliveries.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and cargo area.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws.
- Ability to read maps and follow directions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Strong attention to detail to accurately complete paperwork and maintain records.
-Assisting with the safe loading / unloading of materials on site.
A clean driving licence is not essential however please note that applicants with more than 6 penalty points on their licence will not be considered for this position.
