Porter Pharmacy are recruiting for a pharmacy assistant to support with robotic preparation of medication.
Job Summary
The pharmacy robot operator is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient operation of an automated dispensing robot used in the preparation of patient medication. The role supports the pharmacy team by ensuring medications are loaded, packed and checked in accordance with legal, regulatory and company standards.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the pharmacy dispensing robot used to prepare prescriptions.
- Load medications into the robot accurately using standard operating procedures.
- Set up, run and troubleshoot robot.
- Ensure prescriptions are produced to a timely schedule.
Skills
- High attention to detail and strong accuracy skills
- Able to work quickly under pressure.
- Confidence using automated systems and computer software.
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Full training will be given but it would be advantageous to have a background in pharmacy.
