Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our NEW coffee trailer team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the cleanliness of the workspace. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, serving, and time management within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly service
- Handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems with basic maths skills
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and dining spaces in accordance with hygiene regulations
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling snacks or light meals
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Restock supplies and ensure the display of products is attractive and well-organised
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to perform food preparation tasks efficiently
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy shifts
- Friendly attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
