ASSISTANT CHEF

The King William Inn re-opened, very successfully, on 1 July 2026, under a new Community-held lease through a Community Benefit Society, supported by an award-winning traditional brewery and offering great food and drink.
As we hoped it would, early trading has given us the confidence to recruit an Assistant Chef to work alongside, and learn from, Nev, our award-winning chef, and Debs, our front-of-house manager. This new role will help us to introduce a wider range of food offerings and create space for Nev to plan menu developments, with help from you.

Who we’re looking for someone who is
· A college-trained professional with two years’ or more relevant experience
· Passionate about delivering great food and a desire to learn from Nev
· Genuinely interested in village life and becoming part of the community
What we’re offering
· Salaried employment contract with annual pay in excess of £35,000 for a 48-hour week
· Potential for rented on-site accommodation with parking
· A structured working-week rota
· 28 days of annual leave
· Workplace pension scheme
