Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Domestic Cleaner to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within private homes. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment, with an emphasis on delivering high standards of service and customer satisfaction. Prior experience in cleaning or related fields such as hospitality or janitorial work is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain organisation of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or maintenance issues
- Respect client privacy and adhere to confidentiality agreements
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Occasionally assist with specialised cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning paid at the higher rate
Requirements
- Previous experience in domestic cleaning, janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is desirable
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and reliability are essential
- Physical fitness to perform cleaning duties including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- A friendly and positive attitude
- Flexibility to work during weekdays as per scheduling needs. Works around school hours and holidays
