We’re looking for a Sales Ledger Assistant who’s ready to bring energy, accuracy, and initiative to a growing finance department. If you enjoy problem‑solving, building strong internal and external relationships, and keeping financial operations running smoothly, then this role is for you.
Whilst this role is advertised as full-time, we are open to considering part-time applications.

Raise accurate sales invoices in line with agreed pricing, contracts, and terms
- Ensure invoices are issued promptly and correctly
- Maintain and reconcile customer accounts
- Allocate customer payments accurately against invoices
- Monitor aged debt and follow up outstanding balances
- Contact customers regarding overdue payments in a professional manner
- Post cash receipts and reconcile sales ledger balances
- Assist with month-end close activities
- Produce aged debtor and ad-hoc reports
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls
- Support audits and work closely with other teams

Hello, we’re the Green House Growers! We’ve been growing fresh food since 1977, beginning as a small family business with just over 1ha of tomatoes. Now we have 48ha across our nurseries in Sussex, Norfolk, and Cambridgeshire. Over the years we’ve become known for the best quality and for pioneering sustainability.
Our team has over 300 years of combined experience in growing the best tasting, freshest food. We’ve always been at the forefront of reducing environmental impact, whether that is using bumblebees for production or taking care of every drop of water we use. Most recently at our nurseries in Norwich and Ely, we’ve become one of the first growers to use waste heat from water treatment plants and reservoirs, reducing our carbon footprint by up to 60%.
We now account for nearly 20% of tomatoes and 25% cucumbers grown in the UK!
