Job Purpose
To support the efficient operation of multiple retail stores by providing operational assistance, covering staff absences, and travelling between shops as required. The role ensures high standards of customer service, merchandising, stock management, and compliance while helping maximise sales and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support across multiple retail stores within the designated area.
- Travel between stores to provide cover for holidays, sickness, vacancies, and periods of increased demand.
- Assist with the day-to-day running of stores, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
- Support Shop Managers with achieving sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Receive, sort, price, and display goods to maximise sales.
- Maintain attractive visual merchandising and shop presentation standards.
- Operate tills, process transactions accurately, and complete end-of-day cash procedures.
- Assist with stock rotation, replenishment, and inventory management.
- Support and encourage team members, providing guidance and assistance where needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, safeguarding requirements, and company policies.
- Help with store openings, closures, refits, and promotional events as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment.
- Complete administrative tasks, including record keeping and reporting, when required.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in retail.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Flexible approach with the ability to work across different store locations.
- Experience handling cash and using point-of-sale systems.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between stores is desirable.

Working Conditions

Pay: From £24,000.00 per year
