Job Opportunity: Part Time Cleaning Operative
Location: Dorking Council Offices
Shift: 5:30pm - 8:00pm, Monday to Friday (12.5 hours per week)
Rate: £13.45
per hour
Monitor Cleaning Services is seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team. If you are friendly, self-motivated, hardworking, and reliable, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dusting, damp wiping, or washing walls, skirting boards, handrails, ledges, window sills, radiators, lifts, doors, and frames.
- Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops.
- Mopping floors with wet or damp mops.
- Hoovering carpeted areas.
- Emptying waste bins and transporting waste to designated collection points.
- Mixing cleaning supplies in correct quantities for safe use.
- Replenishing consumables such as soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels.
- Cleaning toilets, urinals, hand basins, and sinks.
- Cleaning communal kitchen areas.
Personal Skills:
- Hardworking and self-motivated
- Reliable with a positive attitude
- Friendly and customer-focused
- Knowledge of cleaning substances and techniques (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and follow a schedule
- Good timekeeping and personal presentation
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety requirements for safe working practices
