Removal Driver / Porter – Class 2 Drivers & Removal Porters

Comfort Moves Ltd is looking for reliable, hardworking and professional people to join our removals team based in Chippenham.
We are currently recruiting for:
- Class 2 HGV Removal Drivers
- Removal Drivers
- Removal Porters / Removals Operatives
The role involves working as part of a professional removals team, helping customers move their belongings safely between properties throughout Wiltshire, the UK and occasionally on longer-distance moves.
Main Duties
- Loading and unloading household furniture and personal belongings
- Safely carrying and moving heavy items
- Wrapping and protecting furniture before transport
- Packing customers' belongings where required
- Dismantling and reassembling furniture
- Keeping removal vehicles, equipment and protective materials clean and organised
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
- Working efficiently as part of a team
- Following safe manual handling and health & safety procedures
- Driving company vehicles where applicable
- Occasional long-distance work and nights away may be required

- Able to work well within a team
- Flexible with working hours and occasional late finishes
- Able to remain calm and professional during busy moving days
Previous removals, delivery, furniture handling or warehouse experience is preferred but not essential for porter positions, as training can be provided.
Driver Requirements
For Class 2 Driver positions:
- Full UK Category C / Class 2 driving licence
- Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Good driving record
- Experience driving larger removal vehicles is an advantage
