Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring every customer has a memorable dining experience. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly
- Handle payments accurately using the POS system and provide correct change or receipts
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and surrounding areas during shifts
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables as needed
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations diligently
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Familiarity with serving procedures, upselling strategies, and guest services enhances performance in this role
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and professionalism
