We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Diagnose faults accurately using diagnostic tools and techniques
- Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring minimal downtime
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and safe at all times
Skills
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnostics and repairs
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team under pressure
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or related fields are preferred
- Valid driver’s licence is advantageous
