Position: Year 5 Teacher

Pay: £150.00-£200.00 per day
Talent Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join a primary school in Oldham.
You will deliver high-quality teaching in a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupils’ academic and personal development, and fostering a positive classroom culture. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and motivate Key Stage 2 learners during a crucial stage of their education.
Duties
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the Year 5 curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
- Provide targeted support for pupils requiring additional help, including those with SEND
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff, and leadership to enhance pupil outcomes
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing
- Contribute to the wider school community, including planning meetings, assessments, and school activities
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to differentiate learning to support pupils with diverse needs
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- A positive, proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a team
