Job Summary

Duties
- Lead, motivate, and supervise teams to ensure high levels of performance and productivity.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with organisational goals.
- Monitor day-to-day operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless workflow and communication across the organisation.
- Analyse operational data to inform decision-making processes and optimise resource utilisation.
- Oversee compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and oversee procurement activities to maintain financial efficiency.
- Facilitate training programmes and professional development initiatives for team members to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Prepare reports on operational performance for senior management review.
- Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the pub and restaurant, including bar, kitchen, and floor operations.
- Monitor stock levels, manage deliveries, and oversee inventory control.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise staff across front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
- Work with ownership/marketing to execute promotions, seasonal events, and special offers.
- Support social media and community engagement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to grow footfall and enhance the venue’s reputation.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a managerial or leadership capacity.
- Strong management skills with the ability to organise teams effectively and delegate tasks appropriately.
- Demonstrable leadership qualities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyse complex situations, make decisions under pressure, and implement strategic solutions.
- Organised with exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in operations management are desirable but not essential.
