Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Press Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining metal folding presses to produce high-quality folded metal sections efficiently and safely. Your expertise will help ensure smooth production workflows, uphold quality standards, and support the overall success of our manufacturing processes. Duties
- Set up, operate, and monitor metal folding presses to produce assigned folding jobs with precision and consistency
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
- Use hand tools, power tools, as needed for press setup, adjustments, or minor repairs
- Conduct quality checks throughout production runs to identify and correct defects or inconsistencies on folded materials
- Assist with fabricating and assembling components related to folding projects, including handling raw materials and finished products
- Manage heavy lifting of steel / aluminium plates safely and efficiently within warehouse settings
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment maintenance, and quality inspections
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand press machinery operations and perform basic troubleshooting
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, fabrication, or assembly work is highly desirable
- Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with material handling processes is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control during production runs
- Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive approach to equipment maintenance
- Basic understanding of safety protocols related to manufacturing environments
