The Compliance Monitoring Officer is responsible for supporting the effective day-to-day running of the Compliance Monitoring Function for the UK CAMO and Pt145, including assisting in the planning, administration, management and conduct of audits and associated findings. In addition, they will support the management of changes to the operation, including enabling the applications and variations of approvals, as well as assisting in monitoring and implementing of regulatory changes. Working collaboratively with the Safety, Compliance and Security teams, they will be an essential part of the efforts to enhance and elevate compliance, safety and efficiency throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Advising the Compliance Monitoring Managers directly of any compliance matters affecting or likely to affect the company and its operations
- Supporting the administration of the Compliance Management Function and, specifically to:
- Assist the development of an annual audit schedule including the subcontractors to ensure complete regulatory coverage across all applicable regulations
- Administer the assignment of auditors and support the conduct of each audit carried out, including the subsequent administration and co-ordination of findings
- Maintain a feedback system of findings to the Compliance Monitoring Managers.
- Analyse the implementation and effectiveness of preventive and corrective action through the follow-up process.
- Support the promotion of safety and compliance culture.
- Assist with the training and education of the Compliance Monitoring Function, including briefing for all Company staff.
- Process audits conducted by third party auditors.
- Support the development of business information and packs, and attend and participate in any SRB and SAG as necessary.
- Participate in, and support any Management of Change exercises as needed.
- Working in concert with the Safety function, auditors and safety officers with respect to safety critical findings.
- Assist and support the continued evolution and development of the management of compliance across the organisation.
Role Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar capacity within a Continuing Airworthiness and/or Maintenance environment, including significant experience of Quality/Compliance Monitoring.
- Have a strong understanding of EASA and UK CAA regulations and practices in regard to commercial air transport operations, airworthiness, maintenance, compliance and safety management systems
- Proficiency, knowledge and experience of:
- Compliance Monitoring
- Auditing, including as a Lead Auditor
- Application of Human Factors in aviation
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to write effective reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to speak publicly and present on the individual level and management level
- Leadership, influencing and interpersonal skills, able to engage and promote a positive safety culture with integrity
- Able to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
- Must be detail oriented, analytical and effective at problem-solving, and able to work productively and independently or within a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft software applications and the aptitude to learn company specific software
