School Caretaker (Part-time)
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: £12.50 - £13.00 per hour
Hours of Work: 4 hours a week. Timings Negotiable prior to employment

About the position:
Alamiyah Montessori is a small Montessori childcare setting accommodating children aged 3-11 years.
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding member of staff to work in our team whose duties would include, but not be limited to:
· General caretaking duties
· Manual work
· Occasional heavy lifting
· DIY and basic onsite repairs
· Maintenance of outdoor areas (including playground areas): sweeping, weeding, cleaning
· Working collaboratively with staff to help improve the external environment of the site
· Completing and regularly updating documentation relating to specific maintenance tasks on a daily and weekly basis
It would be highly desirable if you have the following skills and competencies:
· A good understanding of Health and Safety legislation and expectations for a safe childcare site
· Have previous experience within caretaking or a similar role
· Good verbal and communication skills
· Ability to work on your own initiative with a flexible nature
· Basic handyman skills
