Part-Time Delivery Driver Wanted

We're looking for a friendly, reliable and professional Delivery Driver to help deliver prescriptions to our patients across Blackpool and the surrounding area.

Pay & Hours
Pay: £12.71 per hour + mileage allowance
Hours: Approx. 2pm–6pm, averaging around 3 hours per day
Vehicle: You will need to use your own vehicle
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be an important part of our pharmacy team, making sure patients receive their medicines safely and on time.
Your role will include:
- Delivering prescriptions safely and efficiently to patients' homes
- Handling confidential and sensitive medication deliveries with care, discretion and professionalism
- Planning and navigating your delivery route efficiently
- Keeping accurate records of completed and attempted deliveries
- Relaying messages, queries and relevant information between patients and the pharmacy team
- Safely returning any undelivered prescriptions to the pharmacy
- Reporting any delivery issues or concerns to the pharmacy team
- Providing a friendly and professional service to our patients
- Maintaining strict patient confidentiality at all times
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is dependable, organised and comfortable working independently.
You'll need:
- Full UK driving licence
- Your own reliable vehicle
- Appropriate motor insurance covering business use/deliveries
- Good knowledge of Blackpool and surrounding areas
- Good communication and time-management skills
- A friendly, patient and professional manner
- To be punctual, trustworthy and reliable
- Right to work in the UK
Previous delivery experience is preferred but not essential.
More Than Just Delivering Prescriptions
Many of our deliveries are to elderly and vulnerable patients, so we're looking for someone who understands the importance of being patient, friendly, discreet and dependable.
You'll be representing Blackpool Express Chemist in the community and will often become a familiar face to our regular patients.
