InXpress is a global parcel freight and shipping business, with over four hundred offices worldwide. Each office is individually owned and run. So whilst this position is within a large global franchise organisation, the team you will work in, is small.
This role is office based, taking on significant relationship responsibilities with our existing customers. The successful candidate will have daily communication with customers old and new, answering their questions, queries and managing their UK and International shipping requirements. The individual will be expected to nurture, manage and help grow the volume of business from each customer by means of providing great customer service! Responsibilities also include, invoicing, query resolution, imports, exports, cost calculations, talking with drivers, providing quotes for sea air and road transport movements, and customs clearance support.
On a larger scale, you will help maintain, develop and implement customer service policies and procedures. Ensure that customer enquiries and issues are resolved in a timely manner. Monitor customer interactions to ensure quality service is being provided. Analyse customer feedback and data to identify areas for improvement to further improve our overall service offering.
Applicants should be able to work well under pressure, and be able to multi-task. You should possess a friendly, clear, and professional phone manner. Good written skills are essential as there is just as much written communication as there is telephone.
Competent technical skills with the ability to navigate around various online portals and websites is essential. Whilst this is not an IT role, it does require a good level of online technical competence, with strong excel. This position also requires a confident level of mental arithmetic, basic accounting and VAT understanding.
