Summary
We seeking an site based engineer to join the maintenance team. This role is varied, hands on and covers site maintenence. A can do attitude is essential.
Responsibilities
· Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenances, responding to equipment faults for plant, machinery and equipment.
· Diagnose breakdown problems.
· Fit new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly.
· Flexibility- weekend maintenance works (ad hoc).
· Assist with any general maintenance and upkeep of the bakery carrying out general site maintenance, including woodwork, painting, building fabric maintenance, make do and mend projects.
Qualifications and skills:
· General level of education GCSE/ O level or equivalent
· Experience of working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
· Computer literate, Microsoft word, excel etc
· Good Mechanical attitude
· Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern Monday to Friday:
Week 1: 06.00 to 14:30 Monday to Friday, with a lunch break of thirty minutes per shift
Week 2: 14.00-22:30 Monday to Friday, with a lunch break of thirty minutes per shift
Preferred:
- Ability and knowledge to help maintain the upkeep of the site
- Have worked in a bakery manufacturing environment servicing and maintaining the process and packing machines. i.e., Mixers, Rotary moulders, conveyors, Flow wrap and Carton erectors.
- Understand the requirements of external and internal audits and to comply with current legislation.
