Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Window/Door/conservatories to join our construction fittings team. The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring/surveying windows and doors across various residential and commercial projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Experience with a range of tape measures and and maths techniques is essential to ensure high-quality survey that meet safety standards and client specifications. Company car can be provided
Responsibilities
- Measure, windows and doors according to project plans and schematics
- Prepare work sites by removing old fixtures, cleaning surfaces, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Use hand measureing equipment to complete surveys accurately and efficiently
- carry out visual understanding of replacements of existing window and door units as required
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency on site
- Follow all health and safety regulations throughout each phase of installation
- Assist in fabricating custom components when necessary using welding, fabrication techniques, or construction skills + Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction-related roles with a focus on window or door installation preferred
- Knowledge of windows , doors , construction
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in measuring and fitting components
- Good physical fitness with the ability to climb stairs safely and work at heights when required
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to adapt to different site conditions
- Valid relevant qualifications or certifications in construction trades are advantageous but not mandatory
- Be able to use a scanner app be able to use a mobile
- Also time to carry out small Maintenance & Remedial work
