Reporting to the Supervisor, you will be required to process waste/scrap material through the grinding operation in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Day to day activities will include;
- Process material through the grinding operation
- Remove scrap and/or unused materials and store in correct locations
- Ensure the safe operation, general maintenance and cleaning of grinding equipment
- Grind scrap material according to plan and accurately record data as required
- Adopt a ‘clean as you go’ approach to ensure housekeeping standards are effectively maintained
- Carry out duties in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
- Support and train colleagues where necessary, in line with work instructions and standard operating procedures
- Contribute and participate in Company activities
- Carry out additional and/or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business
The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for technical work and a good understanding of the granulation process although full training will be provided. Applicants should also have;
- The ability to work to deadlines
- A valid FLT licence (desirable)
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work with minimum supervision
- Awareness of current Health & Safety practices
This role is a permanent night shift position working 4 on/4 off, 6:30pm until 6:30am.
