Job Overview
We are seeking a temporary , dedicated Deep Cleaner/Room Checker to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene for are summer deep clean student accommodation turn around. . The successful candidate will be responsible for thoroughly checking rooms that have been cleaned and are ready to be handed back. All areas within student living areas, Ensuring a pristine environment that exceeds the new Students expectations. This role is vital in maintaining the reputation for excellence and providing students with a comfortable, safe stay. Prior experience in hospitality or janitorial services is desirable, but full training will be provided to the right applicant.
This will be over two dates: 25th July until the 31st July
5th September to 11th September
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive deep cleaning of students rooms, bathrooms, and public spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Perform detailed room checks to ensure all aspects of cleanliness, safety, and maintenance are met before students arrive..
- Identify and report any maintenance issues or damages discovered during cleaning to the relevant departments promptly.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines, including infection control procedures, especially during heightened hygiene periods.
- Maintain a high standard of organisation within storage areas and cleaning caddies for efficiency and safety.
- Follow designated cleaning schedules and record completed tasks accurately.
Skills
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial services is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good physical stamina and mobility to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and lift equipment or supplies as needed.
- Excellent time management skills to complete duties within allocated timeframes.
- Reliable with a professional attitude towards maintaining guest privacy and confidentiality.
