Part-time positions commencing September 2026
St Peter's Preparatory School is seeking enthusiastic, caring and committed individuals to join our team as 1:1 Teaching Assistants from September 2026.
We currently have two vacancies:
- 20 hours per week supporting a Year 5 pupil
- 20 hours per week supporting a Year 6 pupil
These roles will provide dedicated support to individual pupils throughout their educational journey, helping them to access learning, develop independence and achieve their full potential. The positions are expected to continue with the allocated pupil until the end of Year 8.

About You
We are looking for someone who brings:
- A Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) or suitable relevant experience supporting children with additional needs (specific requirements for each role can be found within the candidate packs on our website)
- GCSE English and Maths
- A calm, proactive approach
- Excellent communication with children, colleagues, parents and external professionals
- A positive, solution‑focused attitude and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting children’s development
