Overview
Crescent Dental Surgery in the heart of St Anne's are looking for a Part-Time Dental Hygienist (1 day a week on Thursdays) who will play a vital role in promoting optimal oral health and patient well-being. In this position, you will deliver exceptional preventative dental care, educate patients on oral hygiene practices, and support the overall efficiency of our practice. We are seeking a motivated professional who is passionate about making a positive impact on patients’ smiles and health.
Responsibilities
- Perform scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar build up, including Periodontal gum treatment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and personalized care strategies.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment notes and medical histories.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene practices, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry, such as radiography and digital X-ray systems.
- Solid understanding of human anatomy, especially oral cavity structures, to provide effective patient care.
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly and empathetically.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety.
Essential Requirements
- GDC Registration (Ideally with minimum 2 years experience working as a hygienist in the UK).
- Valid Indemnity Insurance.
