Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards of service.
- Supervise and motivate team members, including servers, kitchen staff, and baristas, fostering a positive working environment.
- Support food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Manage reservations, organise seating arrangements, and optimise table turnover.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assist with training new staff members in service protocols, safety procedures, and culinary standards.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and ensure cleanliness of the premises.
- Collaborate with the management team on marketing initiatives and special events.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques.
- Experience in managing teams, with excellent leadership and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hospitality settings.
- Previous restaurant experience is essential; hotel or barista experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with serving duties and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
