Mount Cook Adventure Centre is a not-for-profit organisation passionate about making the outdoors accessible to all—especially young people and those with limited opportunities. We’re seeking enthusiastic, adaptable individuals ready for a hands-on role in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

About the Role:
As a Guest Services Coordinator, you’ll be the welcoming face of Mount Cook, ensuring a high-quality experience for all visitors. You’ll work closely with catering and housekeeping teams, supporting a wide range of tasks from front-of-house duties to meal service and overnight security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming customers to the centre and being the first point of call for all questions
- Cash handling and stock taking responsibilities
- Stock takes of shop stock, snacks and beverages
- Undertaking guest registrations in person
- Demonstrating ease with good telephone etiquette
- Handling administrative duties of a busy front of house reception
- Attending to first aid incidents and being the first port of call for emergencies
- Cleaning the dining room, wiping tables and chairs after each meal service
- Overnight building security duties (£50 added onto payslip for each overnight shift)
What We’re Looking For:
- Exceptional communication skills and a genuine passion for customer care
- Evidence of previous experience front of house experience
- A high standard of personal presentation with excellent attention to detail
- Willingness to gain Food Hygiene and First Aid certification
- Comfortable using Windows-based software
- A positive, can-do attitude with a strong emphasis on the customer journey
