Food Production/packing Operatives

HOURS OF WORK: FULL TIME average 39.38 hours
4on 4off 2 days 2 nights 12 hours (6-6)
Employees must be aged 18 or over to work the site's rotating day and night shift pattern, in line with the Working Time Regulations 1998, which restrict night work for young workers under 18.
Rate of pay: £12.71 per hour
Please note - this role is shift Work, Successful candidates will need to be 18 years +

Our site based in “ROGERSTONE” is a fully automated bread plant, which produces a range of loaves for some of the leading supermarkets across the U.K. We are presently looking to recruit a small number of food production operatives to join the team, to assist in the automotive process of producing, picking and packing our products ready for store delivery.
A 12 week trial period, with the view to make permanent for the right candidates.
The role will suit candidates who have worked for a small or medium company and are willing to work in a hands-on varied role. Previous Food Industry experience is desirable.

Daily Responsibilities
Weighing up Ingredients.
Quality checking of products/packaging
Being aware and responding to machinery alarms
Operating machinery-Line set-up/Slicing/Stacking/Mixing
Pulling/Pushing Stacks
Picking/packing finished products to strict deadlines.
Following customer specification guidelines
Being proactive to get the best results
Be able to react effectively to various challenges on a day to day basis
Complying with Food Safety/ Health & Safety requirements.
Clean as you go within working area.
Being able to use your own initiative
