Job Description General
Group-IPS is looking for a Project Design Engineer (PE) with experience in fluid flow, pressure drop analysis, and sizing of utility systems as well as process liquids (Hot Water, Cold Water, Compressed Air, Steam, etc.) to join the team. This individual will need to exhibit the following characteristics:

- Self-starter able to work independently and efficiently
- Professionally interact and work with client engineering and non-engineering teams
Job Description
- Design and analyse utility systems for generating and distributing hot water, cold water, compressed air, steam, and process liquids
- Perform fluid flow, pressure drop, and equipment sizing calculations to validate design concepts
- Equipment sizing and selection
- Develop Basis of Design documents and supporting engineering analysis/calculation reports
- Support and review the creation of PFDs and P&IDs in coordination with the modelling/drafting team
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and client specifications
- Create and support the development of cost estimates, schedules, and bid packages as needed
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team
- Provide and/or lead technical input discussions during the procurement and construction phases
- Collaborate as the potential point of contact for client, contractors, regulators, suppliers, etc. for all items related to the project scope
Job Requirements
General
- Education: Engineering - Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial
- Software knowledge: MS Office (required), flow/calculation software (Fluid Flow or similar), AutoCAD Plant 3D, Excel based calculators, etc.
- Driver's License
- Applicant should have ability to travel internationally, including US
Project Design Engineer — Process & Utility Calculations
- 2+ years of experience in process and utility design in an industrial environment
- Responsible for deliverable packages ranging from 50 to 200 documents
- Experience with ASME, EN, and ISO standards
- Experience with 3D modelling, BIM Coordination, etc a plus.
