Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Adult Residential Care Assistant to join our team during night shifts 8pm - 8am. The successful candidate will provide compassionate support and care to residents within a care home environment, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort throughout the night. Responsibilities
- Monitor residents’ safety and well-being throughout the night, responding promptly to any needs or emergencies.
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and mobility support in accordance with individual care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of residents’ conditions, activities, and any incidents during the shift.
- Administer medication as prescribed, following strict protocols and documentation procedures.
- Support residents in engaging with activities that promote their mental and physical health.
- Ensure the environment remains clean, safe, and comfortable for all residents.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding residents’ needs and any concerns that arise overnight.
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to assist with outings or emergencies if required.
- Good communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with residents and team members.
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes.
- Compassionate attitude with a strong sense of responsibility towards vulnerable adults.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of care.
- Flexibility to work night shifts on a rota basis, including weekends if necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.25 per hour
