Job Summary
St Jude’s Laundry is looking for a reliable and hardworking Laundry Operative to join our growing team in Edinburgh. This is a hands-on role within a busy commercial laundry serving hotels, restaurants, holiday lets, and hospitality businesses across the city.
No previous laundry experience is required as full training will be provided. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Sorting and processing customer laundry.
- Loading and unloading industrial washing and drying machines.
- Folding, ironing, and packing finished laundry.
- Checking items for quality and cleanliness.
- Preparing orders for collection and delivery.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Following company procedures and health & safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, cleaning, warehouse, or production work is beneficial but not essential.
