Job Description:
We are seeking a talented Junior Graphics Designer to join our team and assist in the preparation and production of high-quality artwork for sports kit. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and an understanding of Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Photoshop, and wide-format printing (Roland Eco-Solvent printer). The role involves creating mock ups and working closely with customers, ensuring that the final product meets their expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and production of high-quality artwork for sports kit, including numbers, names, initials and sponsor logos.
- Collaborating with customers to understand their design needs and requirements.
- Generating mock ups and communicating with customers via email or over the phone to chase up artwork and approve mock ups.
- Assisting in the final Production of the sports kit, ensuring that the finished product meets the customer's expectations.
- Generating and designing social media content, such as posts, advertisements, and graphics.
- Opportunities to create fully custom bespoke designs for select local clubs, which may include creating logos, graphics, and other marketing materials.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest design trends and techniques, and incorporating these into your work.
- Staying organized and maintaining accurate records of all projects, including details of customer requirements and approved mock ups.
- Assisting in other graphic design tasks, as required, to support the team.
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Photoshop, and wide-format printing (Roland Eco-Solvent printer).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A creative and motivated individual with a passion for graphic design.
Assessment:
As part of the selection process, we will provide two tests for completion in the applicant's own time. The first test will involve taking a piece of artwork provided by a customer and making it print-ready. The second test will involve generating a social media post from a brief with all materials provided.
Training:
Training will be provided for the successful candidate.
