Hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday
Additional: 1 Saturday in 3 and 1 week on-call in 6
Additional rate paid for Saturday work and any hours worked after 6pm
GenTech Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join a busy and growing transport operation based in Ballymena.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with transport planning or fleet coordination experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to build a long-term career within logistics.
The Role
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating daily vehicle movements across the UK and Ireland, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time. You'll work closely with drivers, customers and internal teams to keep the operation running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and optimise daily transport routes across the UK and Ireland.
- Allocate work to drivers and monitor vehicle movements.
- Liaise with drivers, customers and internal departments.
- Monitor deliveries and ensure service levels are achieved.
- Support drivers with daily pre-briefs and debriefs.
- Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with driver hours and transport legislation.
- Assist with KPI reporting and operational performance.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in Transport Planning, Fleet Coordination or a similar logistics role.
- Good knowledge of UK and Ireland road networks.
- Understanding of Tachograph Regulations and the Working Time Directive.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise workloads.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- CPC qualification is advantageous but not essential.
