About the role:
- Working 1:1 and in small groups.
- Supporting behaviour and routines for students with SEMH needs in both classroom and 1:1 settings.
- Building positive relationships with students and members of staff.
- Understanding and utilising positive behaviour management techniques.
- Helping to create and maintain a safe, fun environment for the students to feel comfortable.
- Working with families and external professionals where appropriate.

About you:
- School-based experience and behaviour management are essential.
- Patient, resilient and confident in supporting students with SEMH.
- A genuine passion for making a difference in specialist education.
- Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff and the support team.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and be proactive in your approach.
- A good understanding of the importance of building relationships and supporting students through challenges.
This would suit someone with experience as an LSA, Behaviour Mentor, SEMH Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker or someone who has worked with vulnerable young people in a school or specialist setting.
