Due to our ongoing expansion, fantastic opportunity arisen for an experienced 12.5t driver (class 2 ) to join a well renowned and long established family food service business in Accrington. Approx 15-25 multi drop deliveries per day of various food products to customers within an area in and around the North West driving a dual compartment refrigerated vehicle. Deliveries are a mixture of pallet drop and hand ball.

Salary: £34,580/year
£665 Per week - paid in a 2 weekly cycle, working the first week as a week in hand.
28 days holiday broken down as 20 days hol + 8 statuary bank holidays accrued over a 12 month period.
The role is Monday to Friday 4am start till finish, with an average of 42.5 working hrs per week.
NB: Candidates must have
1/ Necessary license to drive a 12.5t vehicles with a valid current digital tacho card & CPC with a minimum 1 years before expiry.
2/ Minimum 3 years experience of delivering on a 12.5t vehicle. This is not critical but will be viewed as advantageous.
NB: The job entails lifting & handball of product onto and from vehicle.
Drivers load there own vehicles so product is hand lifted onto the van and orders are picked from invoice when taking off the van, so at times this can be a physically demanding role so you must also be physically fit, not afraid of heavy lifting and hard work when needed, highly motivated with a "can do" attitude.

Requirements
- Candidates must have no more than 3 points on there UK license.
- You must have correct license to be able to drive 12.5t vehicle or above
- Candidates have 3 years of delivery driver experience on 12.5T vehicle. This is not critical but will be viewed as advantageous.
- Drivers load there own vehicles so product is hand lifted on and off the van, so at times this can be a physically demanding role, so you must also be physically fit, not afraid of heavy lifting and hard work when needed, highly motivated with a "can do" attitude.
- As you are delivering to set customers, over time you get to know the customers well and you become the first face of the company so excellent customer service skills and polite manner are vital.
Qualifications and Skills
- manual Handling training (preferred)
- GCSE C or above in Maths & English (preferred)
