Job Description:
Founded in 1982, King & McGaw is one of the UK’s leading fine art publishers, printers and framers, operating both a premium retail website and working closely with a global portfolio of museums, galleries and heritage institutions creating bespoke products for their shops.
Based in Newhaven, East Sussex, we design and produce everything on site. We work closely with our museum clients, priding ourselves on being Made in the UK, focused on reliable colour accuracy and high quality of products and service.
Our Design Team is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Account Manager to oversee key B2B relationships within our Cultural Sector Division. You will manage partnerships with world-renowned museums, art galleries, and heritage sites, acting as the primary point of contact for the development of bespoke printing and framing projects. We work closely with most aspects of the business, with no two days being the same.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for museum retail buyers and merchandisers, understanding their product requirements and launch / exhibition schedules.
- Oversee bespoke product briefs from both existing and potential new clients - including stationery, high end prints and framed products - ensuring design accuracy, high standards and strict deadlines are met in full.
- Achieve monthly / quarterly sales targets.
- Effectively use project management platforms [currently Basecamp and ] to ensure critical path deadlines are hit.
- Collaborate directly with in-house production teams regarding order prioritisation to guarantee timely dispatch.
- Respond to customer queries including running in-person and video call meetings, presenting concepts, new product development, financial costings, product information, range planning, project and delivery tracking.
- Process customer purchase orders, create worksheets and populate the production plan
- Liaise with our Accounts Department on any invoicing and credit control queries plus new account set-up.
- Request shipping quotes and create paperwork for international shipments.
- Ensure deliveries have been booked-in successfully with client receiving warehouses, with individual goods-in requirements / courier requirements met and any shipping / regulatory queries resolved efficiently.
- Ensure quality, accuracy and safe timely delivery of all pre-production samples.
- Populate and maintain product data sheets.
Essential Criteria:
- 3 years minimum experience in a project-focused role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Thorough and detail-minded approach to tasks
- Demonstrable organisational skills, with examples of managing one’s own workload
- Comfortable working under pressure across a range of simultaneous projects and able to adapt priorities to meet tight deadlines
- A keen eye for detail and design
Desirable:
- 2 years minimum experience within a creative office-based company
- Experience of working to financial targets - both revenue and profitability
- Experience of using order processing software and CRM / project management platforms (Sage Intact advantageous)
- Experience of working in a production environment
- Proven interest in the creative industries / knowledge of print-making techniques

Salary range £30K - £35 per annum depending on skills and experience
