Warehouse Operatives
Seacon (SG) are seeking a Warehouse Operative with counterbalance and clamp forklift licence/experience, to join our team and contribute to our efficient and effective operations, based at the Port of Garston. Paper reel handling experience essential.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the loading and unloading of goods.
Operate counterbalance and clamp forklifts and other material handling equipment to move goods within the terminal and warehouse.
Ensure accurate and timely picking, packing, and dispatch of orders.
Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies.
Contribute to a clean and organised warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and meet operational targets.
Assist in the preparation of shipping documents and labels.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Warehouse Operative, preferably in a port or logistics environment.
Valid forklift and clamp licences and experience operating various types of forklifts.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good physical condition, capable of lifting and moving heavy items.
Basic computer skills for inventory management and order processing.
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
Excellent communication skills.
Overtime/Weekend working may be required
