Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2/7.5T Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of customer service. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and delivery operations.
- Operate a Class2/7.5T curtain sider lorry in compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Delivering steel products. Up to 7 deliveries per day.
- Conduct pre-journey safety checks on the vehicle and associated equipment
- Deliver palletised goods to designated locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Adhere to all traffic laws and driving regulations at all times
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when required, ensuring safe handling practices
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2/7.5t licence with a maximum of 6 points
- Minimum 2-year commercial driving experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly in delivery roles
- Familiarity with curtain side lorry operations and securing loads securely
- Good knowledge of current driving regulations and safety standards within the UK
