Nibble is recruiting for part time baristas and front of house staff
Who are Nibble?
We are an independent cafe in Manchester’s city centre.
We do all day brunch, handmade cakes, local coffee and lots for lunch too.
We specialise in making dietary requirements less stressful, providing options for everyone, and making sure that eating out with us is a joy.
Our customer service style is friendly, welcoming, and we go above and beyond for our lovely community.
What are we looking for?
We are a small team, who love to laugh while we work, looking for a like minded front of house team member or barista, to help us deliver amazing customer service and making banging coffees.
These are part time roles, covering at least one weekend day each week.
Weekend work is essential, with this being our busiest times at the cafe.
You must be an outgoing, friendly, people person.
The café may be small, but don’t be fooled - it gets busy.
You must be able to multitask and cope under pressure.
It’s a rewarding job, and we have a nice time with each other, and with our customers, but you need to go that extra mile, every time, and be happy to do so.
The ideal front of house team member or barista
- Has customer service experience in a hospitality setting
- Has experience using a professional espresso machine - latte art would be a bonus!
- Has experience working in fast paced, independent cafes or restaurants
- Is a positive, friendly, outgoing person
- Loves to talk to people and works with a smile on their face
- Excels in customer service and goes the extra mile
- Has strong time management skills and the ability to multitask
- Wants to make friends at work and be part of a tight knit team
- Will be cool, calm and collected under pressure - don’t let our size fool you!
- Has excellent organisational skills
- Speaks fluent English
- Is able to use a computer
Job responsibilities
- Delivering friendly, attentive customer service at all times
- Making hot and cold drinks for customers
- Ensuring drink standards are met and served quickly
- Working at a fast pace, turning tables quickly
- Preempting what customers need, without being prompted
- Carrying out our service cycle effectively and efficiently - greeting and seating customers, taking orders, upselling, clearing tables, taking payments at tables
- Ensuring that the cafe is kept clean and tidy at all times
- Ensuring that food hygiene standards are adhered to at all times
- Ensuring that our allergen policies are followed at all times and that people with dietary requirements are well catered for
