New Start Living Residential Ltd provides high-quality residential care for children and young people aged 7 - 17. We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Children's Residential Support Workers to join our growing team.
As a Support Worker, you'll be a positive role model, helping children and young people feel safe, valued, and supported while promoting their independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes. What We're Looking ForEssential
- Passion for supporting children and young people
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care (or equivalent)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Commitment to ongoing training and professional development
Experience & Knowledge
- Experience supporting children or vulnerable people in a paid, voluntary, or personal capacity
- Understanding of children's residential care and support
- Knowledge of safeguarding, care principles, and health & safety
- Awareness of relevant legislation and regulations within the care sector
Skills & Personal Qualities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Empathetic, patient, and able to maintain confidentiality
- Able to manage challenging situations calmly
- Good organisational and basic administrative skills
- Physically able to undertake manual handling where required
- Flexible, self-motivated, and committed to achieving positive outcomes for children
Working Hours
We currently have vacancies for:
- 14 hours per week
- 28 hours per week
- 42 hours per week
- 1–2 sleep-in shifts per week
Higher salary includes up to two sleep-in shifts per week (£70 per sleep).

- One satisfactory character reference (where applicable)
- Previous childcare references covering the last five years where required
- Full UK Driving Licence (for employees driving company vehicles)
