Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate A-Level English Literature Tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and excellent communication skills, with experience in tutoring or teaching. Duties
- Deliver engaging and personalised tutoring sessions in A-Level English Literature, tailored to individual student needs.
- Assist students in analysing texts, developing critical thinking, and improving essay-writing skills.
- Prepare lesson plans, practice questions, and revision materials to support student progress.
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Support students with exam techniques and time management strategies to optimise their performance.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages confidence, curiosity, and academic growth.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians regarding progress and areas for improvement.
Experience
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching English Literature at A-Level or equivalent level.
- Strong understanding of the A-Level syllabus and examination requirements.
- Experience working with children or young adults is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education needs (SEN) is a plus but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engagingly.
- Organised, patient, and adaptable approach to meet diverse learner needs.
