Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Carer to provide high-quality care and support during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents or clients in a care home setting. Duties
- Monitor residents’ or clients’ wellbeing throughout the night, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Assist with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and mobility support as required
- Follow individualised care plans to deliver tailored support and assistance
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or health concerns, liaising with healthcare professionals when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of care provided during each shift
- Administer medication in accordance with prescribed instructions (if qualified)
- Ensure the environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming at all times
- Support residents or clients with bedtime routines and ensure their needs are met overnight
Skills
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Valid driving licence is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Good IT skills for recording information electronically and managing documentation efficiently
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently during night hours
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals during overnight periods
Pay: From £13.37 per hour
