Job Summary
We are a small family run business seeking a skilled Gas Engineer/Plumber to join our team and deliver exceptional service in installing, maintaining, and repairing gas and plumbing systems across residential homes. As a vital part of our team, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of plumbing and gas-related tasks with precision, professionalism, and enthusiasm.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain gas appliances, boilers, pipes, and water systems in accordance with safety standards and regulations
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing and gas systems to identify issues before they escalate
- Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment
- Perform heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely to facilitate installation or repairs
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems using your mechanical knowledge to determine the root cause of issues
- Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of tools, materials, or equipment to job sites
- Document work performed through detailed reports, logs, and compliance records while adhering to safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or Plumber with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and gas safety regulations
- Proficiency in use of hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to plumbing and gas appliances
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting tasks
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for driving duties
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with excellent attention to detail
- Physical stamina for active work environments involving climbing, kneeling, or working in confined spaces
