Kitchen Porter – Brownsover Hall Hotel, Rugby
Up to £12.71 per hour + TRONC up to £50 per week
Job Summary
Opened in December 2025, Brownsover Hall Hotel is a beautiful Grade II listed Victorian manor house set within eleven acres of landscaped gardens in Rugby. With 48 bedrooms, a popular brasserie, weddings, events, and exciting expansion plans underway, this is a fantastic time to join a growing hotel with real ambition.
We are part of Distinct Group Ltd, operating hotels and hospitality venues focused on service excellence, teamwork, and guest experience. We are proud members of the Hoteliers' Charter, committed to fairness, inclusion, and employee wellbeing.
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to support our busy kitchen team. This is a vital role within the hotel, ensuring our chefs have everything they need to deliver exceptional food and helping to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation.
What you will be doing:
You will play an essential part in the smooth running of our kitchen by maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Your responsibilities will include washing pots, pans, crockery, and kitchen equipment, operating the dishwasher, keeping food preparation and storage areas clean, disposing of waste correctly, and ensuring all hygiene standards are consistently maintained.
You will also assist with basic food preparation when required, receive and store deliveries, organise stock, and support the chefs wherever needed. As part of a close-knit kitchen brigade, you will help ensure the kitchen runs efficiently during breakfast, lunch, dinner, weddings, conferences, and events.
What you will bring to the team:
Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, takes pride in their work, and enjoys being part of a team.
You will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have a positive attitude, and be committed to maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and food safety. Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys supporting others and contributing to delivering memorable guest experiences.
