Job Summary
We're looking for an experienced, reliable and hands-on Warehouse Team Lead to join our friendly, family-run business. This is a working leadership role, so you'll be on the warehouse floor leading by example, organising the day's workload and working alongside the team to ensure orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time. Working closely with the Operations Manager, you'll help keep the warehouse running smoothly by supporting the team, maintaining stock accuracy and high standards, communicating any issues and finding practical solutions. Responsibilities
- Lead from the front by working alongside the warehouse team in all daily operations.
- Organise and prioritise the day's workload to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders accurately and on time.
- Book in deliveries, unload goods and ensure stock is stored correctly.
- Replenish picking locations and maintain an organised warehouse layout.
- Monitor stock levels, carry out stock counts and investigate any discrepancies.
- Help maintain accurate inventory using our warehouse management system (full training provided).
- Support, motivate and guide the warehouse team, helping maintain a positive and productive working environment.
- Keep the Operations Manager updated on progress, challenges and opportunities for improvement.
- Take ownership of day-to-day operational issues, making sensible decisions and escalating where appropriate.
- Continuously look for ways to improve warehouse efficiency, organisation and processes.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and ensure Health & Safety standards are followed at all times.
- Assist with preparing pallets and shipments for collection by couriers.
- Carry out manual handling and lifting safely as part of the role.
What We're Looking For
- Previous warehouse experience, ideally in a team leader or supervisory role.
- A hands-on approach with a willingness to work alongside the team.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Confident communicator with a positive, supportive attitude.
- Someone who takes ownership, uses initiative and enjoys solving problems.
- A good understanding of warehouse Health & Safety practices.
- Experience using warehouse or inventory management systems is beneficial, but training will be provided.
- Reach Truck and Counterbalance Forklift licences are an advantage, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
Hours
Full-Time - Monday to Friday - 08:30am-16:30pm
