Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Quality, Goods In & Stock Controller to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring that incoming components, in-process assemblies, and finished products meet required quality and cleanliness standards, while also supporting stock control and production activities.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong eye for detail and an interest in quality, inspection and manufacturing processes within a growing and dynamic organisation committed to excellence.
Responsibilities
Goods In:
- Inspect incoming components to ensure they are manufactured to specification.
- Measure parts using inspection equipment such as Keyence systems, vernier calipers, micrometers, go/no-go gauges and mating parts.
- Carry out visual inspections and complete Validation and ISIR reports.
- Identify, quarantine and report non-conforming parts.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Oxygen Cleaning:
- Manage the Goods In process for parts flagged for oxygen cleaning.
- Perform ultrasonic cleaning to meet CAT 1 or CAT 2 cleanliness standards.
Final Product Inspection:
- Carry out final quality checks before products are released for dispatch.
- Ensure products are built to drawing, correctly labelled and free from damage.
- Raise any quality issues with production so they can be resolved.
- Package, label and box approved products for dispatch.
Stock Control & Kitting:
- Monitor and manage stock levels.
- Prepare and deliver kits to production.
- Identify shortages and report low stock levels.
- Carry out annual or bi-annual stock checks.
Support in Production:
- Assist in production activities during quieter periods, as required.
- Gain hands-on understanding of assembly processes to improve inspection effectiveness and product knowledge.
Experience
- Previous experience in quality inspection, stock control or a manufacturing/production environment is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Experience using measuring equipment or reading engineering drawings is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work methodically and follow procedures accurately.
