Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs
- Support daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow during service
- Supervise and manage team members during shifts, providing guidance and support
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Help organise and oversee food production processes to meet quality standards
- Contribute to menu planning and presentation alongside the culinary team
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas at all times
- Support in training junior staff and new team members
- Assist with serving customers when required, ensuring excellent service standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, or kitchen environments
- Supervising or team management experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred
- Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
