Salary: £49,000 Basic + Door-to-Door Pay
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday-Friday – Flexible Start/Finish
Call-Out: 1 in 5
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x

Role Overview
We’re recruiting an experienced Mobile Refrigeration Engineer based in or around Liverpool to join a well-established national engineering business covering a major retail contract across the North West.
You’ll be responsible for planned and reactive refrigeration maintenance across a portfolio of retail stores, with a strong focus on fault finding, breakdown response and keeping refrigeration equipment operating efficiently.
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer looking for a £49,000 basic salary, all travel paid door-to-door, flexible working hours and a 1 in 5 call-out rota.
Responsibilities
As a Mobile Refrigeration Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Planned preventative maintenance and reactive refrigeration repairs
- Approximately 40% PPM / 60% reactive maintenance
- Fault finding and diagnosis across commercial refrigeration equipment
- Attending breakdowns and completing repairs
- Minor installations and small works where required
- Maintaining refrigeration equipment across retail stores
- Travelling across Liverpool and the wider North West
- Working to agreed SLA response times
- Providing a professional service when working on customer sites
- Completing all work safely and in line with company procedures
- Participating in a 1 in 5 call-out rota
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you will need:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Refrigeration
- F-Gas certification – essential
- Experience working with commercial refrigeration systems
- Strong refrigeration fault-finding and breakdown experience
- Hydrocarbon and/or CO? refrigeration experience desirable
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
