Part Time Cleaner
Permanent | Evening hours | 15 hours per week
Bolton Sixth Form College is seeking to appoint a Part Time Cleaner to join our friendly and hardworking Estates and Premises team.
This is an important front-line role, helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors.
Working pattern
- Hours: 4.00pm – 7.00pm
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Total: 15 hours per week
Salary
- National Living Wage, in line with age-related statutory rates
About the role
Working as part of the Estates and Premises team, you will support the day-to-day cleaning operation across the college, helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Duties will include:
- Cleaning teaching rooms, offices, corridors and communal areas
- Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting and emptying bins
- Using cleaning equipment and materials safely and correctly (training provided)
- Following health & safety procedures and reporting any issues or concerns
- Supporting more detailed cleaning during college closure periods
What we’re looking for
Previous cleaning experience is welcome but not essential, as full training will be provided.

- Takes pride in their work and has good attention to detail
- Is reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Can follow instructions and health & safety guidance
- Has a positive, flexible approach
- Is comfortable working in an education environment
